• Soldbuch and Wehrpass grouping to Leutnant Karl Dissmer. The son of a civil engineer from Kattowitz (Silesia, now Poland), Dissmer joined a Luftwaffe Bau-Bataillon in October 1939. It was not until one year later that he reached his final branch of service: the anti-aircraft artillery. He was a year with the Reserve-Flakmesszug 228, then two years with Flak-Abteilung 305, until it was October 1943 reformed into schwere Flak-Abteilung 394. All this time, he served within the Reich, protecting the industry near Duisburg. By September 1943 he was promoted to Leutnant. In 1944, he followed infantry training on the Truppen├╝bungsplatz Elsenborn (now Belgium), and later an Erdkampf training in Podhradik, Slovakia.
  • This infantry training proved to be very useful when the Allies neared the border of the German Reich late 1944. Winter 1944/45 he saw action with his battery on the Ruhr and the Niederrhein, in the area of Krefeld, Rheinhausen, Duisburg and Essen, as shown in the battle list of the Wehrpass. His unit eventually became encircled in the so called Ruhrkessel, and on 16th of April 1945, he was released by his unit in an attempt to evade captivity. On that very same day, he was awarded both the Kriegsverdienstkreuz 1. Klasse and the Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse - both originally entered in the Soldbuch and Wehrpass. These two last minute awards were added to his earlier SA Sportabzeichen, Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse, Abzeichen f├╝r Flakartillerie and Kampfabzeichen der Flakartillerie for a total of six awards.
  • The Soldbuch has some repairs and pages 6-7 and 23-24 have been torn, but all pages are still there. Great portrait photo with the KVKII and part of the Flak badge in wear. The Wehrpass is in excellent condition and complete as well. Both booklets are packed with entries, lots of training, extra pages, private Walther pistol in the Soldbuch, etc.  Also added is a confirmation of his sports results, counting for the awarding of the SA Sportabzeichen.
